To prepare for the high temps when moving here are a few steps to help you out.
- Call for your movers far enough in advance to book the job. It gets very busy in the summer, so reserve your spot.
- Get the right size truck for your move. Not having enough space at the end sucks because nobody wants to leave there items behind.
- Have all your moving pads and rope to help protect your items.
- Water is key to keeping your movers alive and moving. If they don’t have any or seem to be sweating a lot offer them so cool drinks. When it is 100 degrees or hotter we make it mandatory for our movers to take a 5. Yes they will get some sweat on your furniture, it’s impossible not to.
- Allow movers to take a minimum of a 5 minute break each hour to cool down. It gets very hot in the back of the moving trucks when it’s hot out. 140-185 degrees in the back of a moving truck.
- Have your payment ready most companies will only accept cash or credit.
